LeBron James Foundation Reveals Plans for New 'House Three Thirty' Community Center in Akron
The 60,000-square-foot venue will be a hub to provide job training and financial literacy education for the Akron community’s youth.

LeBron James‘ Family Foundation has officially announced “House Three Thirty” — a brand new initiative and venue that will be dedicated to serving the youth community of his hometown in Akron, Ohio. This latest venture from the now four-time NBA champion is another component to add to his ever-growing philanthropic catalog, and will be an extension of his I Promise School that is located just several blocks away.
Titled after the city’s area code, the 60,000 square foot space will be a hub for multiple purposes. Within its walls, students will receive the opportunity to receive career training, be educated on financial literacy and even indulge in recreational activities. State-of-the-art facilities such as basketball courts, a soccer field, dining rooms, coffee bars, event spaces and more will also be available for Akron community to utilize.
“House 330 is going to be a sanctuary for our families…It’s going to be a place where all our families can grow and learn. This will be a hub for everything possible our families will need”, James stated when speaking on this newest accomplishment during his interview with Time Magazine.
The building is still under renovation, but expects to be fully operational by 2022.
Previously, LeBron James also signed a two-year $85 million USD contract extension to remain a member of the Los Angeles Lakers.
