Unveiled as part of its Case #R002 “Filtered Reality” collection and already being available at select retailers, C2H4 is now preparing to officially launch its footwear line with its two debut silhouettes through its webstore.

Coming after collaborations with ASICS, Vans and Nike, the inaugural “Atom Alpha” and “Quark Alpha” models serve as the latest expansion of C2H4’s expanding sophisticated offering range. The footwear styles are named after microscopic physical elements, “quark” is the basic particle that constitutes matter and “atom” is the unit of ordinary matter that forms a chemical element, all fundamental constituent of matter in the universe.

The essential items are based on a VIBRAM sole and designed to reflect an essential part of everyday life and explored opportunities of “wearables” in the future. Continuing the arc sculpture outline key to the design language of the #R002 range, the upper of the shoes are constructed of ECCO calfskin leather paired with functional textiles. The sleek “Pirate Black” looks are accented by reflective C2H4 logos hidden behind mesh on the sides and reflective strips that highlight the paneled design. Elevating the shoes are VIBRAM sole units for enhanced grip and traction with greater abrasion resistance for an element of rugged durability.

Priced at $385 and $485 USD, the Atom Alpha and Quark Alpha footwear is set to release on C2H4’s website November 26, 9 a.m. PST.
