Ty Dolla $ign Taps Post Malone for New Song "Spicy"

After introducing the expansive tracklist for his upcoming album Featuring Ty Dolla $ign out October 23 via Atlantic Records, Ty Dolla $ign returns with his latest single “Spicy” featuring Post Malone.

“Spicy” follows past offerings from the upcoming project like “By Yourself” alongside Jhené Aiko and Mustard, “Ego Death” with Kanye West, FKA twigs and Skrillex and “Expensive” with Nicki Minaj.

On “Spicy,” Dolla $ign reconnects with Post Malone for the first time since their 2018 collaboration “Psycho,” which earned the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The new song finds both the two superstars floating over a hypnotizing and warped instrumental produced by Westen Weiss and damn james!. Expect to hear this song for the remainder of 2020 because the duo has proven that when paired together, they’ll craft nothing short of a hit record. Post Malone is far from the lone feature on this album, too — Featuring Ty Dolla $ign enlists over 23 artists to contribute (all of which you can see below).

“I keep talking about this new album being all about frequencies. I carefully chose each person that’s on this album based on how each song needed that person’s specific frequency,” Ty Dolla $ign said in a press statement. “You know, that magic that only that person could bring to the song. And “Spicy” was no different. This song needed Post’s frequency. Plus, we were overdue for another hit after “Psycho.” I’m just grateful that he lent his frequency to this song because we DEFINITELY got another one on our hands. Shout out to my brother Posty!”
