Fit Check: 2026 FIFA World Cup Finals Performers

The FIFA World Cup has always marked a convergence of global soccer culture and the sonic zeitgeist. Music has always played a huge role in the game of football – especially when it’s being played on the world stage. However, the 2026 season showcased an even more significant fusion of the two worlds, introducing the World Cup’s first-ever halftime show in history, along with a grandiose Closing Ceremony spectacle.

From Justin Bieber crooning “World Cup, Hallelujah” in head-to-toe SKYLRK to Jennifer Hudson delivering the US National Anthem in custom Thom Browne, here are all of our favorite musician style moments from the 2026 FIFA World Cup Finals.

Justin Bieber

Fresh off a big week for SKYLRK – the brand hosting its first-ever New York City pop-up and introducing its dedicated audio line – it was only right that Justin Bieber take the World Cup stage in custom designs from the brand. Bieber flexed a one-of-one SKYLRK Polo paired with SKYLRK Raw Denim Shorts, unreleased SKYLRK Matter Daddy Sneakers in a LATTE, SKYLRK Slouchy white Socks, and SKYLRK Speed Demon Sunglasses in JET. Even down to the details – the ear piece and the guitar strap, that is – it was all Skyleezy.

BTS

What a well-dressed unit. BTS took the stage for “Dynamite” with each of the group’s members suited up in a red-hued fit. RM donned a custom LUEDER look, lifted from the Autumn/Winter 2026 collection. The outfit was inspired by Look 2 from LUEDER’s FW26 collection entitled “Ghosts of My Life”, and was commissioned by HARDSTYLE, as many of the rest of the group’s pieces from the performance. JUNG KOOK wore a custom DIRT jacket by Courtney MC, paired with Proper eyewear, Parnell Mooney pants, and DOSIS G6C silver accessories. On top, J-HOPE wore a Protocol Index kit, with John Lawrence Sullivan pants and REIMAGINE shoes. Palace was the label behind Suga’s windbreaker of choice, paired with leather VAIN pants. V (Tae-hyung) elected to rock a vintage Dirk Bekkembergs leather jacket and pants from JE CAI, with Jimin’s jersey designed by Agro Studio, accessories from Eden Tan and pants from JE CAI. JE CAI also handled Jin’s whole look. Each member also donned a custom printed silk scarf designed by Courtney MC.

Madonna

As the first halftime performer to grace the pitch, Madonna, as always, came correct. Equipped with Ronaldo and Ronaldinho on either arm, the legend stepped out into the spotlight in a striking purple look consisting of a custom YSL tracksuit, dripping in Swarovski. The track jacket came stamped with her name and a number 10 on the back, surrounded in glimmering Swarovski crystals. Styled in the House’s storied Millenia collection and adorned in Fuchsia full cut crystals, the songstress even got her own custom ice for her ears. The base layer? Vintage Diesel. Drip fit for a queen.

Post Malone

For the Closing Ceremony, Post Malone brought his cowboy charm to football’s biggest stage for a medley of his hits. Moving between “Wow,” “Sunflower” with Swae Lee, and “Chrome Heartbreaker,” Posty dominated the pre-game show, donning a full custom Wrangler look: a denim jacket and matching denim jeans, a custom cowboy hat, snakeskin belt, and graphic T-shirt that read “I just hope both teams have fun,” à la the infamous Elmo meme.

Shakira

Shakira is basically World Cup royalty, and though her presence (and probably a performance) at the match is essentially a given at this point, her outfits are far from predictable. For this game, she, too, opted for Swarovski on the ice, as she took the pitch wearing a custom, vibrant Roberto Cavalli outfit hand-embroidered with over 200,000 Swarovski Crystals. The look took over 120 hours to complete, reliant on a careful interplay of two different crystal cuts: Flat Back Hotfix crystals and chatons in sunshine hues of pink, orange, and citrine. A set of gold Swarovski Hyperbola Collection eyewear completed the look.

Swae Lee

Surprises are always nice when they take the shape of Swae Lee. For his unexpected appearance during Post Malone’s performance of “Sunflower,” the Rae Sremmurd rapper popped out in a custom Hashim jacket, Alexander Digenova tank top and adidas Y-3 shoes.

Jennifer Hudson

None other than Jennifer Hudson delivered the US National Anthem ahead of the match, donning a full Thom Browne look for the occasion. Hudson’s custom outfit consisted of a white silk crepe rope-shoulder tailored jacket elevated with sleek navy silk piping detailing, an embroidered bugle bead red, white and blue armband, and a satin laced back. A matching pencil skirt and corset completed the ensemble.
