Sony PlayStation Announces Travis Scott as New Strategic Creative Partner

Ahead of the official arrival of the PlayStation 5, Sony has now announced Travis Scott as the new Strategic Creative Partner for its PlayStation division.

In a blog post, Sony PlayStation noted that the partnership was born out of La Flame being a PlayStation fan. Coming together through a mutual passion for gaming and creativity, PlayStation looks to collaborate with the global superstar and his Cactus Jack brand on innovative projects aimed at its loyal fandom.

Kicking off the unexpected partnership, the two released a short black and white video that introduces the team that worked on the PS5. Showing the team dressed in Cactus Jack merch, the camera pans down to show off previously-unseen Nike Dunk Lows with reversed Swooshes and PlayStation logos marking the heel. The Nike collaboration is expected to roll out around the release of Sony’s highly-anticipated next-gen console.

Paying homage to Maxell‘s iconic Hi-Fidelity tape commercial, the clip ends with Travis booting up a PS5 with DualSense 5 controller in hand. Bold and loud sounds follow with Travis being blown back by the brilliance brought by the console.
