Jaden Smith's New Balance Vision Racer to Release in Hi-Vis Yellow
A colorway — and style — you can’t possibly miss.
Jaden Smith and New Balance‘s Vision Racer is a bold style that stands out just as much as the artist it was made for, so now it’s releasing in a fittingly vivid hi-vis yellow colorway. Apart from its substantive look that combines pieces of the 1700 and X-Racer — Smith’s two favorite New Balance silhouettes – the Vision Racer keeps an eye firmly focused on sustainability thanks to a build made mostly of recycled materials.
Mesh and synthetic leathers are combined on the upper, almost all of which features the aforementioned hi-vis yellow tone. There are some deviations, however: the panel that holds the midfoot’s signature N logo is done up in gray, as is a piece by the toebox. A white synthetic leather overlay appears closer to the collar as well, while black is used for the branded hits on the heel clip, tongue tag and mudugard’s piping.
Moving to the lower half, ultra-thick EVA midsoles with three distinct pieces are dressed in yellow and connected by gray foam. As is par for the course on Smith’s signature kicks, the outsoles are fully translucent and supply a large pink (VISION) graphic to complete the look.
The Jaden Smith x New Balance Vision Racer “Hi-Vis Yellow” is set to release at retailers like HBX and Nice Kicks on November 6, and is priced at $150 USD.
