JUJUTSU KAISEN, the latest anime series from Crunchyroll, is serving fans dark vibes just in time for Halloween. The new show tells the heroic tale of Yuji Itadori who became a curse to exorcise a curse. The fantasy horror series comes from the 2018 manga of the same name and follows the life of the teenager as he finds himself entangled in an epic battle between sorcerers and powerful curses. MAPPA and Sunghoo Park, the animation studio and director behind The God of High School, have come together once again to bring this story to life.

To save the world from curses, Yuji Itadori may have to become one himself, making sure the series is chalk full of action, hardship and demons for the main character. Itadori is a seemingly normal high schooler, but has tremendous physical strength. In using this strength to save a classmate from a curse, he takes the curse into his own soul, therefore sharing one body with the Double-Faced Specter. The curse can only be exorcised by another curse, and so a powerful sorcerer, Gojo Satoru, guides him as he’s admitted to the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School, an organization that fights the curses. Never short on meaningful action, these curses serve as a metaphor for the negative feelings that humans feel and how they lurk and can run rampant in our everyday lives.

Explore the cursed world of JUJUTSU KAISEN, which is streaming now only on Crunchyroll.
