Nike Dunk Low Disrupt Goes Bold With "University Red" Makeover
Dropping later this month.
After recently revealing a slew of Nike Dunk Low Disrupt colorways, the Swoosh brand is back with another bold take on the reworked pair, this time around revealing it in “University Red.”
The women’s exclusive Nike sneaker draws from the brand’s archives, combining the familiar Dunk Low silhouette with elements taken from ’80s Nike Basketball shoes like 1984’s Air Train. The result is a mesh and leather sneaker that serves a deconstructed aesthetic — its Swoosh motif on the mid-panel is overlayed by a rear collar that can be detached when unlaced, while topstitching adds to the reworked look.
A foam tongue is coating in mesh and runs down to a mesh toe box that is outlined with white topstitching and tiny perforations. A vibrant red tongue tag, leather pull tabs at the rear, and a sole unit that combines a white midsole with chunky components and a gum outsole round out the pair.
The Nike Dunk Low Disrupt “University Red” retails for ¥12,100 JPY (approx. $115 USD) and will drop on Nike’s website on October 16.
In other news, Nike has given the Air Force 1 a GORE-TEX makeover.
