adidas Consortium FYW Secant Looks To Archived Trail Sneakers and EQT Heritage

adidas Consortium shows no signs of slowing down with its string of retro releases, and next up from the Three Stripes’ special project division is the FYW Secant, appearing in two archived colorways.
Dropping in “Hyper Pop/Dash Gray” and a very brave “Semi Frozen Yellow/Clear Onix/Light Blue” colorway, the FYW Secant draws from adidas‘ archive of trail shoes from the 1990s and early 2000s that have since become incredibly sought after.
All around the FYW Secant you’ll find details and nods to trail sneakers of the past, as well as lots of influence from adidas’ archive. For example, the FYW “Freddy” logo is embossed onto the sole unit, while its rugged outsole is actually made up of raised EQT logo shapes, round nodules, and pressure point details that offer multidirectional grip.
Nylon, mesh, and leather have been combined on the upper to create a fittingly retro paneled aesthetic that’s complete with 3M details on the eyelets and tongue — the latter sporting a classic adidas EQT logo. Another touch of branding is placed on a diagonal on the grosgrain textile mesh eyestay towards the vamp.
Take a look at the adidas Consortium FYW Secant in “Hyper Pop/Dash Gray” and “Semi Frozen Yellow/Clear Onix/Light Blue” above, and pick up both pairs from retailers such as Sivasdescalzo for approximately $165 USD when they release on October 15.
