The Official Trailer for 'Monster Hunter' Sees Milla Jovovich Taking on Big Monsters With Big Guns
From ‘Mortal Kombat’ and ‘Resident Evil’ director Paul W. S. Anderson.
Constantin Film has released the official trailer for Monster Hunter, the film adaptation of Capcom‘s long-running franchise. Similar to the film adaptations of Capcom’s Resident Evil, this film too stars actress Milla Jovovich and is directed by her husband Paul W.S. Anderson.
The trailer above showcases Jovovich as the head of a military unit that gets sucked into a desert world filled with key creatures from Capcom’s Monster Hunter franchise, like Diablo. A native to the world, played by Tony Jaa, appears to assist the survival of the team. The film comes from Screen Gems and Toho, which explains the design influence of the creatures being vaguely similar to Godzilla monsters.
Monster Hunter was originally set to release in theaters on September 4 but will now arrive on December 30.
In other entertainment news, Anya Taylor-Joy will join Chris Hemsworth in Mad Max prequel Furiosa.
