Yo Gotti Channels the Presidential Press Pool With "H.O.E. (Heaven On Earth)" Music Video
The Memphis rap ambassador hints at his first studio album since 2017.
Memphis rap veteran Yo Gotti rounded out his 2019 in style by enlisting Megan Thee Stallion and Lil Uzi Vert for the hit remix to “Pose” ahead of his upcoming album tentatively titled Trapped. It’s been almost three years since the release of his last major studio project in I Still Am, but if this new music video for his single “H.O.E. (Heaven On Earth)” is any indication, then Yo Gotti has been cooking up something major in the past two years.
It was all the way back in late-2018 when the Tennessee hip-hop ambassador told Billboard, “I think this album is going to be one of my classic albums ever… I was just telling somebody on my management team that right now I feel more charged than ever. This is how deep the hunger is. I don’t know if it’s just the hustler nature in me or what, but I can’t even explain this sh*t.”
“H.O.E. (Heaven On Earth)” plays around the the preconceived notions of the controversial hip-hop vernacular with Yo Gotti even going so far as to call himself one. He takes center stage in a red MAGA hat playing the president, but with ‘Make the hood great again’ scribed on the front of the polarizing headpiece. Throughout the Mike Ho-directed visual, the rapper plays the president, taking questions from a press pool of beautiful women and backed by white and black American flags reminiscent of Jeezy’s “Put On.”
