The Weeknd Unveils a Cinematic & Chaotic New Visual for "Blinding Lights"
He will also perform the song on ‘Kimmel’ tomorrow.
At the beginning of last month, The Weeknd served up a Hunter S. Thompson-inspired, Anton Tammi-directed music video for the Metro Boomin-produced record “Heartless.” Now, continuing to fuel the campaign for his next major studio project, the award-winning superstar is unveiling a new visual for his late-2019 single “Blinding Lights.”
Notably, “Blinding Lights” first hit the public’s radar as the soundtrack for the promotional film in support of the Mercedes-Benz EQC, an all-electric compact luxury SUV that is expected to hit the market later this year. Although “Blinding Lights” hasn’t even been out for a full two months yet, the song has already racked up over 330 million streams and hit the #1 spot on several different charts as well, adding to its strength as a single. Further promoting today’s clip for “Blinding Lights,” The Weeknd will also perform the track on Jimmy Kimmel tomorrow.
