The Weeknd Shares Disco-Heavy Single "Blinding Lights"
Alongside a brand new ad for Mercedes-Benz’s EQC campaign.
The Weekend fans have one more reason to be thankful this Thanksgiving. Following the release of his Metro Boomin and ILLANGELO-produced single “Heartless” earlier this week, the Canadian R&B superstar has returned with the second single off his forthcoming studio album.
Titled “Blinding Lights,” the song was initially teased with the release of Mercedes-Benz’s new EQC campaign earlier this week, which showed the artist driving around the new all-electric vehicle as the track played in the background. The track, now released in its entirety, was produced by The Weekend, Oscar Holter, and Max Martin, the latter of which also produced the Beauty Behind the Madness standout “Can’t Feel My Face.” Treading into disco-friendly territory, Abel delivers lyrics surrounding love and relationships over the melodious instrumental.
