Reebok's Instapump Fury Trail Beefs up for Winter
Shaggy suede, reinforced outsoles and more.

It’s been a busy last few months for Reebok‘s ever-popular Instapump Fury. After getting equipped with BOOST cushioning for a collaboration with adidas and serving as the inspiration for Pyer Moss‘s Experiment 4 Fury Trail, the Steven Smith-designed classic is now ready for a hike, thanks to an in-line Instapump Fury Trail. Arriving in “Modern Beige/Neon Lime” and “Black/Green Slate” colorways, the Fury Trail’s sturdy style is ideal for the winter months ahead.
Apart from its Pump fit system, the original Instapump Fury is well-known for its sleek shape. That’s largely kept intact here, save for two noticeable differences. Where the midfoot and heel would normally be cored out to reduce weight, there’s instead a layer of material to keep the wearer’s foot warm and dry. Gone also is the standard mesh and neoprene base, replaced by a hardy and shaggy suede.
Despite these changes, the OG design’s unique DNA is still on full display, thanks in no small part to the unchanged synthetic overlays, Pump button/deflation valve on the tongue, and bold Reebok Vector branding. Down below, the two-piece midsole still features the same carbon fiber midfoot plate and DMX heel cushioning, but underneath sits an outsole with aggressively toothed tread, providing greater grip than its counterpart at the slight cost of added weight.
Each makeup presents this outdoor-ready style in a different fashion. “Modern Beige/Neon Lime” offers an earthy base with high-vis neon lime and orange details. Meanwhile, “Black/Green Slate” is more subdued, using stark tones on the majority of its real estate and providing accents via green hits on the midsole and pull tabs.
Both of these Reebok Instapump Fury Trails are available now via Reebok Japan for ¥20,900 JPY (approximately $193 USD). A US release is expected to follow later this winter.
Reebok has also revived Shaquille O’Neal’s memorable Shaqnosis for a second retro release.
