Fresh off a colorful collaboration with KITH, adidas TERREX has presented a new Skychaser XT hiking silhouette. Designed to tackle the great outdoors, this low-cut design is packed full of advanced tech and is dressed in a subtle colorway that offers shades of the OG UltraBOOST.
Fully lined with GORE-TEX membrane, this Skychaser XT also features a medley of technical materials from ripstop to mesh, all held together by taped seams to ensure maximum water repellency. A technical speed lacing system ensures easy on/easy off. The all-black upper lets the tech and material mix do most of the talking, but a strip of royal blue fabric running down the tongue adds just enough colorful flair. Tonal Three Stripe branding is present on the midfoot, with GORE-TEX and adidas hits both scattered around the front and rear.
BOOST foam is sandwiched into the midsole, adding soft cushioning to the sturdy and supportive ride provided by the black/blue EVA foam’s Promoderator construction. Lastly, a Continental rubber lug outsole offers long-lasting grip that’s designed to take on even the most inclement conditions. All of these pieces combine to make a bulky hiker in the shape of a sleek sneaker. This is fitting, as the Skychaser first released as a high-top boot.
The adidas TERREX Skychaser XT GORE-TEX is available now on the adidas webstore. The MSRP is set at $190 USD.
