Nike Sportswear Adds ACG Themes to Three Popular Models
One Air Max 270 React, two React Element 55s and three Benassi slides, all dressed in bright hues.
Nike Sportswear has presented Nike ACG-inspired takes on three popular silhouettes: the Air Max 270 React, React Element 55 and Benassi. Following closely in the footsteps of a well-received Air Force 1, each model takes on ACG-centric color schemes, technical detailing and lighthearted matching hangtags, making for a clever juxtaposition of two popular Nike labels.
Leading things off is the Air Max 270 React, which mixes earth tones, both light and dark, with bright, vibrant accents to great effect. Its layered construction plays perfectly into the colorful ACG ethos, and the look is made even more visible by hi-vis reflective hits on the rope laces and eyestays. A hybrid cushioning system that melds a React foam forefoot with an Air Max 270 heel bubble ensures signature comfort. The sneaker is completed by a patterned outsole that acknowledges backcountry adventures.
Following closely behind are two takes on the React Element 55. Each features an upper constructed of black ripstop, while reflective accents shine on the Swoosh and eyestays. One uses soft pink, yellow and periwinkle for accents, while the other presents a slightly more rugged style, equipping gold, regal purple and rich teal embellishments.
Finally, there are three new takes on the ever-popular Benassi slide. Arriving in turquoise/steel grey, blue/bone and black/grey, each has a signature ACG mascot and small Swoosh stamped on its strap. A molded, nubbed EVA foam footbed provides pre- and post- hike comfort.
This entire collection is available on the Nike webstore now, with the Air Max 270 React priced at $160 USD, each React Element 55 retailing at $140 USD and the Benassi sliding in at $30 USD.
The Swoosh brand also recently saluted the hardworking people who make five metropolises go with an Air Max 90 “City Pack.”
