Jessie Reyez Is in a Sensually Serene Setting for "Love in the Dark" Video
From her forthcoming debut album ‘Before Love Came to Kill Us.’
GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez recently announced her debut album Before Love Came To Kill Us, which is set to arrive this March and now has a new single and music video called “Love In The Dark.”
Directed by Se Oh, the footage above features the artists submerged in a body of water with the starlit sky reflected on the surface. The track itself “tells the story of being there for a loved one while providing them strength as they go through life’s challenges, emphasized on an uplifting and bold melody,” according to a press release. Reyez herself has stated in relation to the track: “I wrote this during a really sad time in my life, I remember crying. I hope people understand how vulnerable it is.”
“Love In The Dark” follows the release of her first single “No Sweat.” Before Love Came To Kill Us is set to be a 15 tracks album poised to touch on similar topics of love, loss, and the tribulations of life.
