Converse Japan Whips up Premium Jack Purcell Slip-On for BIOTOP
An exclusive sneaker for the spacious boutique.

Every year since 2015, Converse Japan partners with ADAM ET ROPÉ-owned luxury boutique BIOTOP for an exclusive pair of premium Jack Purcell sneakers. For 2020, the duo are serving up another set of opulent slip-ons, remixed with thick leather uppers.
Previous collaborations have utilized suede and navy-tinged leather, but BIOTOP’s new sneaker set sports textured black grain leather above a dense rubber midsole. Tonal black stitching and matching elastic gussets astride the vamp keep the shoe quietly luxurious, in line with BIOTOP’s clothing selection. The Jack Purcell‘s signature “smile” at the toe intact, offering contrast to the tonal white midsole, with BIOTOP and Converse co-branding printed on the midsole to drive home the collaborative nature.
Pre-order a pair of the lavish Jack Purcell slip-ons on ADAM ET ROPÉ’s web store for ¥15,400 JPY (approximately $140 USD) or visit one of BIOTOP’s three locations to pick up a pair in person.
Converse Japan has been on a bit of a tear recently, launching the customizable RIPLAYER Hi, Triostar Ox and more bespoke WACKO MARIA Chuck Taylors.
