Parisian label Berluti has enlisted Blondey McCoy for its Spring/Summer 2020 campaign shot by the skateboarder’s long-time friend Alasdair McLellan.
Taking place in Rome, McCoy is seen decked in a black formal Berluti suit designed by Kris Van Assche. The creative director continues to reinvent the luxury label with his unique take on tailoring, merging traditional craft with contemporary twists, seen most notably in the choice of footwear for McCoy — a pair of leather Oxford shoes that feature a bright blue geometric segment on the toe, complementing his tie.
This is the third campaign Blondey McCoy has done for Berluti under Van Assche’s vision. As the creative director notes in a press release, “Blondey immaculately blends the qualities of an old soul with the lust for life of a new generation. For Berluti, which historically catered to the likes of Greta Garbo, Robert Mapplethorpe, and Patti Smith, his refined rebellious attitude is the spirit with which this maison is entering a new decade.”
Take a look at the Spring/Summer 2020 runway show, and keep an eye out for the collection’s release in the coming months at Berluti boutiques worldwide.
