YMC Reworks ASICS SportStyle Tarther OG With Aztec Prints & Premium Suede Details
Expect an imminent release.

London-based label YMC and Japanese imprint ASICS have teamed up once more for the release of two SportStyle Tarther OG sneakers.
This is the first collaboration between the duo since late 2018, which saw YMC update the ASICSTIGER GEL-LYTE XT in two fall-ready hues. This time around, YMC brings palettes and prints synonymous with the brand and its ethos of maintaining “a keen eye to detail, an emphasis on texture, color and print and a strong creative spirit.”
As a result, the ASICS SportStyle Tarther OG comes in “Blue/Multi” and “Caramel.” The sneakers sport lashings of suede throughout the upper, adding the premium detail to the toe box, eyestay and heel, while leather has been used on ASICS’ iconic mid-panel branding and for the heel cup.
Most notably, YMC adds an Aztec-inspired print in muted shades of blue, pink and yellow for the “Blue/Multi” pair and pink, brown and purple tones for the “Caramel” pair all over the shoes’ base. The print reworks the vamp and mid-panel, and alludes to other Aztec-inspired themes such as the leather laces that are finished with multicolored stoppers and the perforations featured around the sneaker.
Rounding off these collaborative pairs is embroidered YMC branding on the tongue and contrast-color heel tabs.
