YMC Reveals Two New ASICSTIGER GEL-LYTE XT Colorways
Alongside an apparel range.

UK-based brand YMC has revealed its first ever collaboration with ASICSTIGER, featuring two new takes on the GEL-LYTE XT silhouette. The sneaker comes in two 1970s-inspired color options, with either “Sand/Brown Storm” or “Gris Blue/Royal Purple” covering the upper.
Both colorways are influenced by the mountains and landscape of the Welsh countryside where creative director Fraser Moss grew up. Another influence is the 1970s “hill trekking” trend, which is referenced through D-Ring eyelets and an exclusive tread out-sole. Both sneakers are constructed from lightweight suede and quilted nylon. YMC and ASICSTIGER have also collaborated on a small apparel collection of socks and T-shirts to launch alongside the sneakers.
To mark the collaboration’s release, YMC has created a short satirical film looking at the “hill trekking” trend. You can exclusively watch the short film below, and head over to the YMC web store to register for the ASICSTIGER collaboration ahead of its October 19 release.
