'Uncut Gems' Trailer Shows Adam Sandler in Rare Dramatic Form
The latest film from the Safdie Brothers.
Uncut Gems is the latest film from the Safdie Brothers and it’s finally received a redband trailer. Starring Adam Sandler in a rare dramatic role, the actor plays Howard Ratner, a NY jeweler who makes a series of big bets that places himself in a precarious position with several businesses.
The crime thriller also stars Lakeith Stanfield and The Weeknd — who’s making his film debut. A key supporting actor is Kevin Garnett, who’s already receiving plaudits for his role in the film.
Scored by Oneohtrix Point Never, it’s the Safdie Brothers latest feature film after 2017’s Good Time. Since then they’ve also directed a video short for the aforementioned musician as well as another short for JAY-Z, working on the video for “Marcy Me.”
