The North Face Updates Nuptse Bootie With GORE-TEX & Vibram Technology
Two styles are available to take on the harshest conditions.
The North Face is preparing for the winter months with an update to its classic Nuptse Bootie. Revamping the classic insulated footwear option with GORE-TEX‘s lightweight breathability, the Nuptse Bootie is intended to deliver maximum durability and warmth during the coldest climates.
The latest release includes two different styles: the Nuptse Pro and Nuptse Bootie. Both are constructed with a ripstop nylon upper and equipped with GORE-TEX lining and Vibram outsoles. Specifically, the Nuptse Pro sports a Vibram Arctic Grip sole unit, designed for high performance on wet and dry ice. Complete with front buckles, the boot is offered in subtle black and gray colorways.
Available in bright yellow and orange hues, its Nuptse Bootie counterpart is equipped with Vibram Icetrek tech. This sole design incorporates small pointed lugs and a large supporting surface to improve traction and movability on cold surfaces, though it’s less heavy-duty for easy traveling across both urban and rugged environments.
Expect the collection to drop in October at The North Face’s store locations in Japan and on the Japanese TNF website. The Nuptse Pro GORE-TEX will retail for ¥28,000 (approximately $260), while the Nuptse Bootie GORE-TEX will be available for ¥22,500 (approx. $210).
