'The Addams Family' Animated Trailer Showcase the Horrors of Suburban Life
Heavily influenced by its original comic strip source material.
The Addams Family have returned in a new CGI animated feature, showcasing the fish-out-of-water family settling into their New Jersey suburban life. The satirical bunch has a reality TV makeover hose attempt to assimilate the family into ordinary life. However, the Addams influence within Jersey begins to run deep.
Charlize Theron and Oscar Isaac star as Morticia and Gomez, while Chloë Grace Moretz and Finn Wolfhard voice children Wednesday and Pugsley. Following up is Nick Kroll and Bette Midler as Uncle Fester and Grandmama. The animated design of the family harkens back to their original source material as a single-panel comic for The New Yorker in 1938 by cartoonist Charles Addams.

In other entertainment news, the upcoming Disney+ bundle will include Hulu and ESPN+.
81 years ago today, Charles Addams published the first-ever Addams Family cartoon. What a wonderfully kooky journey it has been. 🖤 https://t.co/iemgZFtAsy

Gomez and Wednesday are the most devious father-daughter duo there ever was. 🖤Today we honor Charles Addams with this homage, alongside his original cartoon published 65 years ago in @NewYorker.
