Picking up right where Fall/Winter 2019 left off, Studio Nicholson‘s Spring/Summer 2020 offering — the so-called “High Fidelity Collection” — is rich with accessible, understated layering pieces and clean lines. Effortless styling comes by way of a versatile color palette, lending the heritage-indebted goods a modular feel in line with the label’s progressive ideology.

At the core of Studio Nicholson is founder Nick Wakeman’s desire to create garments that naturally flow with one another, clothes that encourage effortless mix-and-match styling. This point of reference often yields revisions to timeless British items, like mac coats, harrington jackets, gurkha-style shorts and fine knitwear. These all manifest in various forms throughout the collection, abetted by boxy T-shirts, relaxed shirting and trim slacks finished with an elasticated hem. Pale green, deep navy and desaturated beige reinforce the collection’s inherent fluidity, with cloudy prints and pops of yellow to gently disrupt the proceedings.

Look for the new collection on Studio Nicholson’s web store and stockists early next year.
