Women’s World Cup champion Megan Rapinoe recently visited renowned NYC footwear shop Stadium Goods for an interview with Sneaker Shopping. While rocking the latest Nike x Sacai LDV Waffle Daybreak, Rapinoe steps into the convo first acknowledging her love of fashion. She mentions she’s not really a sporty dresser and only does it when she needs to train or play but at heart, she has a knack for always expressing herself through personal style.

On the sneaker side of things, Rapinoe also touches on receiving Air Jordan 11s as a child and recently being gifted a pair of Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 1s from none other than OW designer Virgil Abloh. Rapinoe is no stranger to the streetwear/fashion game as she’s frequently seen rocking the latest hyped kicks which include the Fear of God Nikes and the Nike x sacai silhouettes.

The soccer star has also made a big splash in the sports world with her advocation for equal pay in athlete compensation as well as being a staunch activist when it comes to the LGBT community. With that said, other superstar athletes like LeBron James have given Rapinoe praise not only for her athletic accomplishments but also her rebellious, yet fearless attitude towards the current administration.

At the end of the episode, Rapinoe almost tallies up $5,000 USD in kicks, picking up popular styles such as the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1s, J.W. Anderson Converses and the Air Jordan 1 “Not for Resale” model.
