After returning to the runway for Fall/Winter 2019 with a clean and minimal collection, Helmut Lang creative directors Mark Howard Thomas and Thomas Cawson have steeped their Resort 2020 line-up in the same sleek aesthetic. Showcasing the range in the brand’s latest lookbook, the design duo presents expected wares like denim staples, tailored suiting and sheer sets.
The images were shot by photographer Bryan Liston and complement the label’s stately milieu. Models are clad in simplistic pieces while lounging across armchairs, sofas, and pink carpets, presenting the likes of white blazers with matching trousers, paint-splattered tank tops, shearling jackets and leather pants. Colors are condensed into clean neutral shades, led by black and white with select gem tones like emerald green and royal blue. Easy items such as T-shirts and denim jackets add a casual touch to it all.
Helmut Lang’s Resort 2020 collection is expected to launch in stores in October. In the meantime, catch up on the brand’s recent Pride Month capsule with Artforum.
