adidas Consortium Relaunches 1990's Edberg Comp Tennis Shoe
Stefan Edberg’s signature sneaker returns to store shelves this month.

adidas Consortium keeps the summer-friendly sneaker drops coming with a reissue of Stefan Edberg’s signature sneaker, first seen in 1990. The Edberg Comp was a court favorite, imbued with adidas’ cutting edge Torsion system to give the shoe the edge over Edberg’s first signature shoe, which dropped in 1985.
Like the original Edberg silhouette, the Edberg Comp sported a bevy of bold accents across the upper, ranging from deep purple and pink touches on the Three Stripes to splashes of royal blue on the heel and sole. A yellow lace lock complements the peach accents seen throughout, a neutral tone that serves as a natural complement to the neutral white leather that informs the shoe’s upper. Webbing details imparts extra visual interest to the padded tongue, a comfortable detail mirrored by the EVA-cushioned midsole, with Torsion tech carried over from the original design.
The adidas Consortium Edberg Comp sneaker hits stockists like Sneakersnstuff on July 19.
