MADNESS Reworks Teva's Strap-Heavy HURRICANE XLT2 Sandal
Monochrome with a hint of neon green.
MADNESS and Teva have come together once again for the release of another collaborative sandal. Whereas last year’s collaboration saw the Shawn Yue-founded label rework the Teva Original Universal Premier, this year takes a more technical turn and reinterprets the strap-heavy, chunky and functional HURRICANE XLT2.
MADNESS’ take on the HURRICANE XLT2 delivers a tonal grey palette featuring touches of neon green, making a colorway which fits in with the labels seasonal “ANTI-EXTINCTION” line. The sandal is constructed from nylon, leather and reflective 3M materials which make up its minimalist upper consisting of straps, loops and buckles which come together around the foot for support.
The main lateral strap is debossed with MADNESS’ signature logo, while Teva branding is shown on the neon green tab. Elsewhere, the shoe is sans-branding, focusing purely on its utilitarian aesthetic and mix-matched monochromatic colorway.
You can pick up a pair of the MADNESS x Teva HURRICANE XLT2’s from retailers such as Invincible on July 20 for NT$ 3680 (approx. $118 USD).
