N.HOOLYWOOD TEST PRODUCT EXCHANGE SERVICE and Teva have announced their second collaboration, an all-black rework of the Hurricane XLT3 CT releasing June 12. The collaboration marks the world’s first time the Hurricane XLT3 CT has been used as a collab base, with N.HOOLYWOOD TPES applying its military-focused design language to Teva’s amphibious closed-toe sport sandal through a single, disciplined creative decision: make everything black.

The all-black monochrome treatment is not simply an aesthetic preference. N.HOOLYWOOD TEST PRODUCT EXCHANGE SERVICE is the military-specialist line within N.HOOLYWOOD, and the all-black colorway was conceived from a camouflage logic rather than a fashion one. In military contexts, neutralizing color is a functional requirement rather than a stylistic choice, and Obana has applied that thinking to a sandal rather than outerwear, which is where that kind of reasoning is more commonly found. The Teva logo has been changed to monochrome to maintain the all-black consistency, while an original N.HOOLYWOOD TPES mil-spec patch sits on the inner side of the shoe, functioning as the collaboration’s primary branding element without disrupting the exterior’s tonal unity.

The construction decisions respect the base model’s engineering. The Hurricane XLT3 CT’s open mesh upper provides breathability and quick drying for amphibious use, while bungee cord laces deliver a secure fit and easy removal. The midsole carries more EVA than the previous Hurricane XLT2, improving cushioning and step-in comfort, and the high-grip outsole handles multi-terrain traction.
