Summary

A. Lange & Söhne debuts new 1815 UP/DOWN and TRIPLE SPLIT editions at Concours of Elegance 2026.

The 37.5mm 1815 UP/DOWN drops in white and pink gold with blue dials, limited to 300 pieces each.

The platinum TRIPLE SPLIT features a rhodié dial and grey subdials, capped at 100 units.

A. Lange & Söhne has unveiled its latest watchmaking novelties. Emphasizing the brand’s commitment to combining classic Glashütte aesthetics with complex mechanical engineering, the Saxon manufacture extends two of its most celebrated families. The release brings a fresh interpretation to traditional watchmaking, debuting refined colorways across both an elegant classic dress watch and an unprecedented horological benchmark.

The first highlight of the unveiling is the new 1815 UP/DOWN, a model deeply rooted in the heritage of Ferdinand Adolph Lange’s historic pocket watches. Housed in a compact case measuring 37.5 mm in diameter and just 8.7 mm in height, the timepiece focuses entirely on its power-reserve display positioned opposite the subsidiary seconds sub-dial. Driven by the manually wound L051.2 manufacture calibre, the AUF (UP) and AB (DOWN) indicators are integrated directly into the movement via a space-saving planetary gear system rather than an added module. Offered in 750 white gold and 750 pink gold- each strictly limited to 300 pieces – the new iterations pair deep blue dials with argenté-coloured auxiliary sub-dials, railway-track minute scales, and blued hands, creating a contemporary contrast with classic Glashütte aesthetics.

Alongside this, the watchmaker also presents a new iteration of the ultimate chronograph benchmark: the TRIPLE SPLIT. Since its debut in 2018, the TRIPLE SPLIT has held a unique title as the world’s only mechanical chronograph capable of measuring comparative and intermediate times up to an aggregate duration of 12 hours. By extending split-seconds rattrapante functionality to both the minute and hour counters alongside the central seconds hand, the watch allows complex additive timing for endurance events, complete with a flyback function. This latest version is presented in a 43.2 mm 950 platinum case with a cool rhodié-coloured dial offset by dark grey auxiliary dials, luminous main hands, and blued rattrapante hands. Capped at just 100 pieces, the watch is fitted with a dark brown alligator leather strap secured by a platinum deployant buckle.

At the heart of the TRIPLE SPLIT lies the hand-wound manufacture calibre L132.1, a mechanical masterpiece composed of 567 meticulously finished components. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the movement reveals untreated German silver bridges, Glashütte ribbing, a hand-engraved balance cock, five gold chatons, and a patented disengagement mechanism that eliminates friction loss when the rattrapante hands are stopped.
