Beyoncé Puts Out Extended Video for "Spirit" and "Bigger" (UPDATE)
Featuring an appearance from Blue Ivy and clips from the upcoming remake.
UPDATE: Beyoncé released the extended video for “Spirit” featuring new visuals for “Bigger.” Watch the video above.
ORIGINAL STORY: Beyoncé has released an accompanying visual for “Spirit” in celebration of The Lion King’s premiere. Capturing the full beauty of the African savanna, the Nala voice actress can be seen singing and dancing in different locations across the area. Her oldest daughter Blue Ivy also makes an appearance early on, dressed in a gown and sporting red hair matching her mother’s. Clips from the upcoming remake are interwoven with choreography of cultural significance — an important factor in the overall creation of her compilation album, The Lion King: The Gift. “It was important that the music was not only performed by the most interesting and talented artists but also produced by the best African producers,” Beyoncé said in a statement. “Authenticity and heart were important to me.”
