At the beginning of this month, Rick Ross enlisted Swizz Beatz and Just Blaze for a new Port of Miami 2 single titled “Big Tyme.” Now, the Florida veteran is finally revealing Port of Miami 2‘s release date, cover-art and lead trailer.

“When I realized I was really alive, I sat in a room alone. No television, no music, I just listened to my heartbeat,” Rick Ross says as his narration for Port of Miami 2‘s promo-trailer unfolds. “Can you hear it?”

In the artwork for Port of Miami 2, Rick Ross brings attention to a pendant adorned with an image of his close friend and manger Black Bo, using his forthcoming LP’s cover as a way to keep his memory alive and pay his respects following his 2017 passing.

Set to be Rick Ross’ tenth studio album as a solo artist, Port of Miami 2 serves as the official sequel to its creator’s very first Port of Miami project. Port of Miami was released in 2009, and its sequel’s arrival will coincide with the original’s unveiling.
