Beyoncé's 'The Lion King: The Gift' Features Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino & More

Last week, the official soundtrack for the new Lion King film finally hit streaming services and other platforms. The project featured contributions from Childish Gambino/Donald Glover, Elton John, Hans Zimmer, Chiwetel Ejiofor and more; highlights included Donald Glover and Beyoncé‘s modern interpretation of the original Lion King soundtrack’s hit single “Can You Feel the Love Tonight.” Adding to the musical universe surrounding The Lion King, Beyonce is now fully revealing plans for her own Lion King studio album, The Lion King: The Gift.

Specifically, Beyoncé’s Lion King project, Lion King: The Gift, is comprised of 14 all-new original tracks. Besides Beyoncé, Lion King: The Gift will also include work from Kendrick Lamar, Saint JHN, Pharrell, JAY-Z, Childish Gambino, 070 Shake, Tierra Whack, Burna Boy, Jessie Reyez, Wiz Kid and more. Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter is also featured on the tracklists, with credits on “Brown Skin Girl.”
