/017's Latest Editorial Unmasks Hidden Details on Doublet's FW19 Collection
Featuring a toy capsule machine that dispenses graphic T-shirts at random.
Following its last feature on KOMAKINO’s SS19 collection, Vancouver-based /017 has returned with its latest editorial, spotlighting Doublet‘s Fall/Winter 2019 collection.
Taken behind a crisp white backdrop, the imagery unmasks hidden details that line some of the pieces, offering a close look at the label’s playful designs. A bevy of deconstructed garments are featured, like the previously seen 5-layered socks, a black turtle neck sweater that acts as a balaclava when unfolded, a white button-up with glow-in-the-dark prints or a red fur jacket, complete with hand-painted graphics.
The red hand-knitted jacquard pullover sweater and black mask knit cap illustrate Doublet’s affinity for injecting notes of humor in the most unlikely ways on cold-weather necessities. Standout pieces include graphic tees that are tightly loaded into a small ball, dispensing at random via toy capsule machine – five variations of graphics are available, but buyers will have to cross their fingers to land on the print they want. This along with other garments like the embroidered tracksuits, billowing corduroy jackets and hand-painted leather gloves shine a light on the label’s uniquely idiosyncratic design ethos.
Scroll through the images above for a look at the editorial and head over to 017shop.ca to see more from the expansive lineup, ranging from $50 – $1,126 USD.
