For Forever Turned Around, the band “grapple with the anxiety and acceptance that time is limited and navigate questions of mortality, doubt, love, and friendship. It’s an album about partnership — romantic, familial and communal, but most importantly a love in friendship: the bonds between two best friends and creative partners and the joy and stress that comes with it,” according to the press release.
The LP was co-produced by Brad Cook and Jonathan Rado. Ehrlich and Kakacek reunited with original rhythm guitarist Ziyad Asrar, plus Chicago musicians Lia Kohl and OHMME’s Macie Stewart to provide strings. Whitney will embark on a headline North American tour, beginning in September and perform across the pond plus major cities such as Austin, D.C., Boston, Philly, and Brooklyn among other Stateside stops.
