AWAKE NY Offers First Look at ASICS Collaboration
Silver, gold and 3M accents.
Following GMBH’s progressive ASICS collaboration, the Japanese footwear company has joined another influential outfit for another set of collaborative runners. AWAKE NY took to Instagram to tease a duo of bespoke sneakers, rich with detail.
Two colorways of the GEL-Kayano 5 360 are seen in the single teaser image: gold/black and silver/green, both trimmed with light-reflecting 3M accents. The contrasting panels interrupt the black or green suede on the toebox and dot the vamp, where round laces lead up to a tonal, branded tongue. Glistening metallic hues on the lateral side ASICS branding adds further visual interest, while a black outsole aids in grounding the glistening design. Embroidered “AWAKE NY” branding near the heel completes the design.
