Cookie Money & Elzie Celebrate Their "Relentless Hustles" on "How I Came Up"
A new visual in support of the pairing’s joint project.
Last fall, Cookie Money promoted one of his solo projects with a visual for his Boosie Badazz and Philthy Rich collaboration “Get A Bag.” Now, the Oakland hometown-hero is back with a new music video for “How I Came Up.” Notably, “How I Came Up” serves as an introduction of sorts for Elzie, Cookie Money’s new artist and the latest addition to his own independent label. Cookie Money and Elzie are planning on releasing a joint project together, and “How I Came Up” is being billed as that effort’s lead single.
“The lack of support made my hustle relentless,” Cookie Money tells us, reflecting on what inspired “How I Came Up.” “I know its hard to believe me and a lot I say because when I look back I barely do. I’ve been an entrepreneur since I jumped in the streets with $50. Lost my freedom, money, friends and family, and my daddy twice to the life. I never would’ve imagined I’d come this far. This song is the start of others and myself to accept I’m special and I made it.”
