LNDN DRGS & Curren$y Revisit 'Umbrella Symphony' for New "Payback" Video
Timeless, soulful sounds from two veterans.
Towards the end of this past April, LNDN DRGS and Curren$y introduced their collaborative Umbrella Symphony project with a smooth and soulful single known as “Sake.” Reconnecting for further support of Umbrella Symphony, all three of the effort’s creators are serving up a new visual in support of one of its standout selections, “Payback.” Notably, this latest clip for “Payback” comes to us courtesy of director @dexstr8dope__.
“A lot of people are like, ‘Jay Worthy sounds straight from the West Coast.’ Sure, but I feel like I have many different sounds and I feel like I keep showing that as I work with different producers,” Jay Worthy told us last year, opening up about his uniquely old-school-inspired style and sound. “I work with Alchemist, you get a different sound; I work with Cardo, you get a different sound; when I work with LNDN DRGS, you get a different sound; when I work with King Most, you get a different sound. To each his own, I just like to make good music. Art Laboe is the reason that I even started LNDN DRGS, low-key. I would always be in my car listening to oldies.”

In recent months, Curren$y has placed a special emphasis on cooking up collaborations like “Payback;” he appeared on Wiz Khalifa’s most recent mixtape Fly Times Vol. 1: The Good Fly Young and linked up once more with Freddie Gibbs for the Alchemist-produced Fetti.
