Givenchy Launches Surprise Onitsuka Tiger Collaboration
Two premium Mexico 66 sneakers, crafted in Japan.

Givenchy, the special guest of Pitti Uomo 2019, took the opportunity to surprise guests of the trade show and fashion event with a surprise footwear collaboration. In partnership with Japan’s Onitsuka Tiger, the luxury label introduced a pair of special sneakers emblazoned with co-branding in monochrome hues.
A personal favorite of Givenchy artistic director Clare Waight Keller, the “Nippon Made” Mexico 66 GDX is offered in two distinct iterations. An all-white variant sports the classic Onitsuka Tiger stripes on its lateral side, with perforated “GIVENCHY” branding on the medial to reinforce the collaborative nature. Its counterpart is an all-black shoe with a thick white outline that reinforces the lateral side Onitsuka Tiger branding, complete with contrasting red details on the heel panel. Both silhouettes sport co-branding on the back tab, with special packaging underlining the collaboration’s craftsmanship and limited numbers.
The collaborative Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 sneakers hit Givenchy’s web store, the first-ever Line pop-up in Japan and both party’s flagship stores, retailing at $550 USD apiece.
Elsewhere, Givenchy introduced a seasonal take on its Jaw sock sneaker.
