Onitsuka Tiger gives its enduring “Paraty” Mexico 66 a decidedly softer personality for Fall/Winter 2026, wrapping the laceless silhouette in long-pile faux fur. Leading the latest treatment is a monochromatic “Faded Yellow” colorway, which coats the upper, lining, eyelets and rubber tooling in a pale, slightly washed yellow. The shaggy surface introduces visible shifts in texture and shadow across the otherwise tonal build, while smoother suede-like panels reinforce the toe, eyestay and signature Onitsuka Tiger Stripes for subtle contrast. Despite the added volume, the recognizable low-profile shape of the Mexico 66 remains intact, giving the familiar retro runner an almost slipper-like appearance.
The furry edition extends across a broader tonal palette that also includes Cotton Candy pink, Airy Blue, Birch and Brown Storm, ranging from soft pastels to warmer neutral shades. Each maintains the same lace-free construction, leaving the metal eyelets exposed as a decorative detail, while faux fur continues through the interior for a plush finish. The Paraty’s collapsible heel also allows the shoe to be worn two ways – conventionally or stepped down like a mule – reinforcing the relaxed character of the design.
