'The Lion King' Soundtrack Will Feature Beyoncé, Childish Gambino, Seth Rogen, Pharrell, & More

The live adaptation of The Lion King will be hitting cinemas across the world next month, and to keep the hype surrounding the film high, Disney has just shared the official soundtrack listing for the film.

The 19-track project will of course feature songs from Beyoncé and Childish Gambino who voice the characters of Nala and Simba. Beyoncé and Childish Gambino’s rendition of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” which was previewed in a recent teaser is included, while Seth Rogen can be heard on “Hakuna Matata.”

Selections from Hans Zimmer’s score and production from Pharrell Williams (on “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?,” “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” and “Hakuna Matata”) round out the album. Additionally Elton John, who originally sang the alternate version of “Circle of Life,” appears on a new track called “Never Too Late.” Moreover, a conspicuous “TBA” for track 14 appears, which could mean Disney is hiding a potential Beyoncé solo from fans until a closer date. Chiwetel Ejiofor, Hans Zimmer, John Oliver, and more also lend their musical talents to the album.

The Lion King soundtrack will be released digitally on July 11 and physically on July 19, the same day the film lands in theaters. Head over to Amazon to pre-order your copy now.
