Neymar Reportedly Accepts Transfer Back to Barcelona
Just two years after his record-breaking move to PSG.
Two years after moving to Paris Saint-Germain for a fee around $250 million USD, Neymar Jr. is reportedly on the verge of a shock return to Barcelona. According to reports from Spanish newspaper SPORT, the Brazilian footballer is set to resign for the club having agreed a five year contract.
Whilst nothing has been confirmed, the verbal agreement would see Neymar taking a huge paycut. The 27-year-old currently earns €36.8 million EUR (approx. $42 million USD) per season at PSG and is rumored to have agreed to earn €24 million EUR (approx. $27.3 million USD) to return to Barcelona. With the transfer yet to be finalized, Neymar is also reportedly open to moving to Real Madrid, although Barcelona is his preferred destination.
