AFFIX & ASICS Announce Contrast-Heavy GEL KINSEI Sneaker Collaboration

AFFIX has reworked the ASICS GEL KINSEI for two limited-edition iterations which will drop during its AFFIX SOUND SYSTEM performance in Paris later this week.

The radio show-turned-label headed by Kiko Kostadinov, Taro Ray, Stephen Mann and Michael Kopelman explores the idea of “New Utility,” dropping pieces which combine functional workwear elements with streetwear design cues. For its collaborative ASICS GEL KINSEI, AFFIX has used bold color combinations to stay in tune with its typically colorful aesthetic.

AFFIX offers both a “Blue/Black/Orange” pair and a “Yellow/Brown/Red” iteration, which feature the shoe’s signature modular sole unit design highlighted in either orange or red. Its technical wire lacing system is locked down with an adjustable toggle and is fixed in place by a number of rubber eyelets and lace stays, one of which sporting the slogan “NEW-U.”

To be in with a chance of copping the AFFIX x ASICS GEL KINSEI, tune in to the AFFIX SOUND SYSTEM airing on June 21 from 5PM CEST on its livestream.
