Gucci has dropped a gold-toned crystal-embellished Tiger head ring in the style of legendary jewelry designer Hattie Carnegie. The costume jewelry piece reflects Carnegie’s career boom in the 1940s which saw the rise of animal-themed pieces adorned with crystals, glass beads and artificial pearls.
This Gucci ring is made from metal and finished in gold and features a mixture of red and silver crystal stones, as well as black filigree engravings — a delicate kind of jewelry metalwork which involves soldering an artistic motif to the body.
Creative director Alessandro Michele once again channels his love for antiquities and outlandish designs, serving a piece that not only utilizes imagery synonymous with Gucci, but one that also fits perfectly within the house’s current design direction.
The ring was crafted in Italy and finished with an engraved interior logo and can be picked up from retailers such as MATCHESFASHION.COM for $412 USD.
In other news, Gucci has spotlighted its Fall/Winter 2019 timepieces in a politically-charged campaign.
