Nissin Unveils New 'One Piece' Cup Noodle Commercial Showcasing Zoro
Zoro’s origin as it would happen in real life.
Nissin has teamed with hit anime series One Piece for its “The Hungry Days” Cup Noodle commercial series, which showcases various characters. The trailer starts with Zoro as a 17-year-old high-schooler competing in a kendo club match against senior student Mihawk at a tournament. When Zoro loses, he dedicates his entire life to the sport to assure he never loses again. At the end of the clip, Luffy, in a straw hat, approaches Zoro as he’s training on a roof, saying “you’re so cool.”
Other members of the Straw Hat Pirates can be seen as high school students, as well as other characters from the series like antagonist Marshall D. Teach, Whitebeard, Crocodile and more. One Piece anime’s original voice cast, including Kazuya Nakai (Zoro) and Mayumi Tanaka (Luffy) play their respective characters in the TV spot.
Check out the commercial above, then read about the new, but old drink coming from Coca-Cola and Stranger Things.
