Nike Launches Camo-Inflected Air More Uptempo

Desert flavor for summer.

Though Nike‘s classic Air More Uptempo has received some pretty wild upgrades over the past few months, the latest take on the heavyweight basketball shoe is somewhat more grounded. Retaining key details from the original 1996 model, the latest colorway sees an understated Air More Uptempo bolstered by unmissable pattern.

A black grain leather upper serves as the backdrop for the sneaker’s enormous “AIR” branding, rendered even louder by white-trimmed desert camouflage letters. Swirling earth tones inside the “A-I-R” carry over to the rear, where a white Swoosh is embroidered atop the pattern. To keep things toned-down (somewhat), the shoe’s rubber midsole is also executed in black, matching the pull tabs, tongue and sockliner, while the laces are offered in stark white.

Shop the hefty silhouette on Sivasdescalzo’s site for €170 EUR (approximately $190 USD) when it drops later this month.
