Following a range of throwback silhouettes, Nike brought back the Air More Uptempo with a modern 720 twist — a 1996 Air More Uptempo upper afloat an Air Max 720 air sole — debuting the new model during the NBA All-Star Weekend.

Expanding on the series, Nike is dropping the Air More Uptempo 720 in a bold “University Red” colorway. The sneaker boasts a largely red upper constructed with a mix of leather, suede and mesh paneling, complemented by large “White” letters spelling out “AIR MAX.” The white extends to the laces, the Swoosh on the toe box, and wraps around the heel, contrasting cleanly and brightly with the “University Red.”

The Nike Air More Uptempo 720 “University Red” will be available in the following weeks on the Nike online store and at select retailers for a price of $200 USD.

Make sure to also check out the Lynx OG by DC Shoes and its collaboration with streetwear label FTP.
