New Balance Upgrades a Functional Classic With the 990v5

New Balance introduces the fifth generation of its iconic 990 series, updating the chunky design and improving the functionality of the shoe. Like many of the brand’s recent designs, the 990V5 has been inspired by the refined and simple aesthetics of Japan.
As well as tweaking the iconic silhouette, New Balance has introduced new elements to the shoe, such as adding two TPU Power straps for maximum stability. Additionally, the shoe boasts Ortholite Antimicrobial memory foam insoles that use ENCAP and ABZORB technology, offering a 2-layer cushioning system for shock absorption, delivering a shoe with unrivaled comfort and quality craftsmanship.
