JFK Airport's TWA Hotel Launches Retro Fashion Capsule
Featuring nostalgic apparel, accessories and footwear.
Just days after Louis Vuitton hosted its Resort 2020 show at John F. Kennedy airport’s freshly remodeled TWA Flight Center, the hub’s TWA Hotel has launched its own fashion capsule. Stocked with 40 pieces of footwear, apparel and accessories, the collection is infused with retro elements and inspiration.
The assortment was designed by J.Crew alum (and current Alex Mill creative director) Somsack Sikhounmuong, who took references from vintage TWA imagery, including travel posters by David Klein and illustrations from old-school pins. Sikhounmuong also partnered with Gola for the signature lowtop sneaker, opting to rework the brand’s Mark Cox silhouette with a crisp white canvas and bright red “TWA” logo stamp.
Other items like throwback tracksuits and striped sport socks continue the nostalgic theme featured throughout. Additional accessories offered in the range include iPhone grips, towels, a puzzle and even a classic Etch A Sketch game. Styles are priced from $2 USD for simple pins, up to $249 USD for a cashmere sweater designed in collaboration with Alex Mill.
The collection is available now from the TWA Hotel’s online shop, and will release in-store on May 15 when the accommodation officially opens to the public.
